Thematic Photographic: Singles

I haven't done one of these for a while, since in January I was observing in words rather than pictures.

This photo was taken in late January - I was in the city and noticed this bauble that had seemingly fallen out of the window of an upper storey apartment, and landed unnoticed in the shrubbery. It seemed very appropriate for Carmi's theme this week - singles.

There's such a poignancy to this scene, Catherine, a quiet defiance against the end of the season, a wish that the joy would never end.

You always manage to capture the narrative in your photos, and this one digs deep today. What a perfect addition to the theme.

You've also twigged me: I see no reason why Thematic Photographic has to be exclusively photographic...maybe some picture-less reflections would be welcome, too. Feel free to give it a shot anytime, as you're so fluid in both media.Thank you for the prompt!

There is always one that gets away. You have caught it perfectly.
