And Now for Something More Festive..

I have been crazy busy, but I thought it was time to post something a little more festive than my previous whine about inconsiderate real estate agents.

These are photos I took at one of the conservatories in the Christchurch Botanic Gardens yesterday. The staff have gone to quite an effort to make these displays. Poinsettias are out of season here, so trickery is involved in getting them to bloom so richly.

Hi Catherine, with the confused plants, will they bloom again in 6 months or 18 or at all? I have never been successful in getting them to bloom again so I have to remind myself not to buy them.

Michele sent me.

That is confusing but so beautiful. I too, wonder if they will bloom in July. There is a hotel where I used to live in Arizona that had a large metal tower where pots of poinsettias are inserted and they make a beautiful tree. Hello from Michele's!
