NaPoWriMo #15

I ignored the Readwritepoem prompt today, feeling it was a bit too challenging for the time available, and used one of the ideas I have queued in my head instead. I hope that I don't run out before the end of the month.

I like the idea of admiring the curses of Roman soldiers.
Had to look up totara and manuka and came away slightly bemused, thinking of corduroy roads in the mud

Very thought provoking, especially the question: "Does the world grow bigger/ encased in layers of stardust? Great last line too!

  5. The last four lines: sheer poetry! Thanks for the inspiration.

  7. Catherine, I really enjoyed this one. There's much to savor here -- the rise and fall of history, our relationship to geography, and especially the idea behind the last four lines, which you've presented with real subtleness.
