I ignored the Readwritepoem prompt today, feeling it was a bit too challenging for the time available, and used one of the ideas I have queued in my head instead. I hope that I don't run out before the end of the month.

I like the idea of admiring the curses of Roman soldiers.

ReplyDeleteCatherine, I really enjoyed this one. There's much to savor here -- the rise and fall of history, our relationship to geography, and especially the idea behind the last four lines, which you've presented with real subtleness.
